3 Easy Steps how we Stain & Seal Wooden Decks and Docks!
Step 1 Prepping Wooden Surface for Stain & Seal!
Depending on condition of wooden will depend on what prep is done, but how we typically do is a light sand throughout all the wood, this knocks down any chips of wood loose and helps old sealer opening up allowing new stain and sealer to penetrated .
Step 2 Cleaning the Wooden Surface so its ready for Stain and Seal!
This is where we spray our cleaner down which is designed to soak into the wood and kill all mold and algae that's growing or in the wooden fibers of each blank. this is a very important part as failing to clean properly will result it life span shorten and stain and sealer failure to bond correctly cause peeling, bubbling and other undesirable results!
Step 3 Staining and Sealing of Wooden Docks, Decks and Hand Rails!
We usually apply our stain either with a roller and or push broom depending how flat surface is and or age of wooden deck. for newer decks that are nice and flat wed use a roller on. where the only dock have more cracks in wood and what not wed use push broom to get down in cracks and fill with stain finally after we sealer down our sealer on tops to water proof and lock stain in for any years to come then give it 24hrs to dry and your all set!
